Creative CV and SWOT Analysis
Leading on from the blog post about promo packs, I've been working on my creative CV and finished it today. I love how clean the finished book is as its sometimes a bit messy sticking double pages together. I was going to hand bind it but then I'd have to figure out the printers pairs so this ended up being a cleaner and quicker method.
Once it was all stuck together, I printed the cover on an A3 piece to allow space for a spine and possible wrap around. I love the way the prints are incorporated with photo corners holding them in place but the reader is able to take them out. Below are the digital pages I printed and bound.
SWOT Analysis
Strengths:
- Informative and creatively constructed, all the relevant information condensed into a smaller book.
- Shows lots of processes and specialisms with children's and alternative publishing examples, printmaking with monoprint and riso print.
Weaknesses:
- Would've been better printed at a proper printers to get better colours.
- Could have more information to read like a book, it might feel jarring to read through different categories.
Opportunities:
- Could be riso-printed to add a different quality to the imagery, adds more quality than a digital print.
- Something to present to future clients and is a document to add to with new work. I like this setup so it could be utilised to create a better version later.
Threats:
- Time restraints to improve the book and make promo pack mock-ups.
