Riso Exhibition Pictures
This week we had the joint Graphics and Illustration exhibition. It was a riso playing card exhibition with each illustration produced using red and blue ink. In a previous post I talked about the two designs I entered, one was the King of diamonds and the other the ace of diamonds. I really enjoyed this experience and loved seeing how other had interpreted the brief, with many of the graphic students going for a typographic approach. I also liked what the did with the collaged shop signs. I was assigned the task of printing them all and delivering them to the exhibition space so it was cool to see how they had been assembled.
Below are some of the pictures taken on the night. The exhibition space was great to showcase all the prints together and it was good to see so many people buying them to raise funds for our final exhibition in May. I look forward to doing more things like this as its a great opportunity to create different artwork unlinked to project work, and to network with different people.
